Patong Beach

Patong Beach - This is the area that attracts most tourists visiting Phuket, with the combination of its powdery sand, Pacific sea, blue sky, and great variety of shopping and entertainment places. There are many outdoor and sporting activities available, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, and many more, to suit all needs.

You will feel as though you have your own beach while you are walking on these peaceful beaches. After dark, just a couple minutes walk takes you to the entertainment areas. In addition, a host of shops are always ready to warmly welcome you and are open almost around the clock.

Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is beautiful and about 2 kms. in length. Kamala is the perfect place to get away from it all and has little to offer in the way of entertainment for that go across the mountains to Patong. Regular bus service to and from Phuket Town during daytime; tuk-tuk service available to Patong, 5 kms. away on the new road.

Nai Harn Beach

Naiharn is one of the best beaches on Phuket. Over Shadowed by Prom Thep, Phuket's Southernmost sunset viewing point, Nai Harn is largely underdeveloped untill 2001. Now, this 800 metre beach is starting to look like a tropical Butlins and only the south part of the beach is still wild. Good surfing, dangerous swimming in monsoon season.

Nai Yang Beach

This is quiet and clean beach where just a few businesses have been located, therefore, it is still clean and natural. Also, Naiyang National Park has been established to take care of the snorkeling among the beautiful and colorful coral reefs is extremely worthwhile and rewarding. Naiyang is just 5 minutes south of Phuket Airport.

Panwa Beach

Panwa Beach is a quiet beach, predominantly Muslim fishing village with a few restaurants and a couple of excellent resorts. Because the area is sheltered, even during the months from April till October when the monsoon winds are strong, the area is quiet and safe. Excellent choice for relaxing holidays.

Rawai Beach

Rawai Beach Is a favored picnic spot for Thais who flock to the seafood stalls sitting under the trees that shade this narrow but picturesque bay. The beach is not so great but the water is shallow and safe for children and it is protected from the wind. There are many longtail boats and speed boats anchored here that you can hire to make trips to the nearby islands. Try to find one with life jackets because when the wind picks up the seas can become quite rough.

The beginning of the tin boom during the Nineteenth Century led to construction of many fine old mansions and shops still well preserved. The architectural style, typical of the region, is described as Sino-Portuguese and has a strongly Mediterranean chracter. Shops present a very narrow face on the street but stretch back a long way.
